Humanitarian Activities

Levels2-4HeadsVolunteer with a Humanitarian Mission (Level 2, Level 3, Level 4)
Humanitarian work includes a wide range of opportunities to bring improved medical care or education to underserved populations. You can volunteer to work at a local free clinic, provide head and neck cancer screenings at a health fair, visit a Native American reservation, or provide financial and moral support to residents and other otolaryngology—head and neck surgeons who do humanitarian work. You can also take part in a medical mission in the developing world, joining teams that specialize in cleft lip/palate, head and neck cancer, pediatrics, plastic reconstructive surgery, otology, thyroid care, or general otolaryngology.
