CORE Important Dates and Deadlines

 

Submission Dates

  • Letter of Intent (LOI) to be submitted electronically via proposalCENTRAL by midnight Eastern Standard Time December 16, 2013.
  • Electronic submission of application by midnight Eastern Standard Time January 15, 2014.
  • Late applications: CORE expects all applications to be submitted on time.
Important Dates

 

  • December 16, 2013 midnight EST: Letter of intent submission deadline.
  • January 2, 2014: CORE Study Section residend application deadline.
  • January 15, 2014 midnight EST: Full grant application deadline.
  • February 3, 2014: CORE Study Section applicants notified.
  • March: Grant applications are reviewed.
  • June: Award announcements are made by the granting society.

Deadlines for Signature Pages, IRB/IACUC Approval Documentation, Collaborator Letters, and Department Head Letters

In order to submit your application via proposalCENTRAL by January 15, 2014 you must have all required pages uploaded to your account. We understand that getting needed signatures, letters and IRB/IACUC approval docuementation may take some time. Please follow these instructions so the uploading of your application by January 15th is not delayed:

Signature Pages: Must be received no later than February 15.
We understand that getting the final signature page signed by all of the necessary staff may take some time.  If you do not have all of the signatures by the January 15th deadline, please upload what you do have to proposalCENTRAL.  If you have nothing, upload a placeholder .pdf page titled "Signature Page placeholder". Once you have the fully signed signature page, please scan the document (pdf) and email to Stephanie L. Jones sljones@entnet.org or Sarah O'Connor soconnor@entnet.org Please be advised that no grants will be awarded without a fully signed signature page.  Emailed copies, must be received no later than February 15.

IRB/IACUC Approval Documents: Must be received no later than February 15th.
If you will not have your final IRB/IACUC approval letter prior to the January 15th application deadline, then submit the associated documentation that you do have (e.g. what you have provided to your IRB/IACUC committee, when they will be meeting to review and the date you anticipate obtaining the final approval).  Upload a placeholder .pdf page with this information noted on it. We understand that some committees only meet quarterly or have very full agendas and it may take some time for you to get on their schedule.  Once you receive the final approval (after the Jan 15th deadline), please scan the document (pdf) and email to Stephanie L. Jones sljones@entnet.org or Sarah O'Connor soconnor@entnet.org to upload to your application no later than February 15.  Please be advised that no grants will be awarded without the final IRB/IACUC approval.

Collaborator and/or Department Head Letters: Must be received no later than February 15th.
If you will not have your collaborator or department head letters available by the January 15th deadline, please upload a placeholder .pdf page titled "Collaborator Letter placeholder" or "Department Head Letter placeholder" as needed. Once you receive the necessary letters (after the Jan 15th deadline), please scan the document (pdf) and email to Stephanice L. Jones sljones@entnet.org or Sarah O'Connor soconnor@entnet.org to upload to your application no later than February 15. Please be advised that no grants will be awarded without letters required by the mechanism for which you have applied.
