Dear PMP Subscriber:
As you have been previously informed by Decker Publishing, the AAO-HNS Foundation will discontinue the Patient Management Perspectives in Otolaryngology (PMP) subscription product at the end of June 2014. We are committed to making this a smooth transition and will continue to provide you with the best possible customer support.
This decision was driven by a need to focus Continuing Professional Development efforts on Awareness, Engagement and Value. Using information gathered from the Member Education Needs Assessment Initiative, we will develop new and innovative continuing professional development opportunities, including a case-based, interactive activity similar to PMP. These new learning opportunities, such as Electronic upgrades and Web-based formats of current popular education products and the introduction of new eLearning technology, will better meet members’ education needs and learning preferences.
As a current PMP subscriber, please be assured that you will continue to:
Receive all eight issues of Volume 43 that you have subscribed to; Issue 43-8 will be available this summer.
Have access to all past active volumes you have subscribed to (41:1-8, 42:1-8, and 43:1-8).
Receive CME credit for all active volumes/issues you have subscribed to (CME credit is available only for a period of three years per compliance regulations).
However, there will be certain changes to your subscription that include:
The online version of PMP will no longer be available; if you are an online subscriber you will be offered the CD-ROM or print versions instead. The CD version has the same rich format as the online course does.
All post-tests and evaluations will now be available through a new online portal managed by the Foundation; instructions on how to access this portal will be forthcoming.
Customer service inquiries will now be provided by Foundation staff.
Please stay tuned for follow-up information on how to access PMP after June 30, 2014.
We encourage you to visit AcademyU, www.entnet.org/academyu, the Foundation’s Lifelong Learning Source, to access all of the Foundation’s education and knowledge resources offered free or at reduced fees to members and to non-members. Most offer continuing medical education credit.
Thank you for your longstanding involvement in PMP and your continued support of the Foundation’s Continuing Professional Development Program. Please contact us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
