Planned Giving

I think we have not yet had otolaryngologists think, perhaps sufficiently, about what the potential is in terms of legacy giving. And, certainly the possibility to have someone remembered—have them remember the Academy, in their will—is something that I hope will happen increasingly over time.

Planned Gifts – Gifts that Make a Difference to the Specialty’s Future

When you contribute to the Hal Foster, MD Endowment, you will have the satisfaction of knowing your gift will touch others for generations to come. The Hal Foster, MD Endowment provides the perfect vehicle to create a permanent legacy at an organization that has provided you and your colleagues numerous opportunities to enhance the profession and improve patient care.

There are several convenient ways to make a gift:

Immediate Gifts

Receive a tax deduction for gifts of:

  • Cash, including pledges stretched over a period of months or years
  • Appreciated stock
  • Bonds
  • Charitable trusts
  • Real estate, including a residence, vacation home, or investment property
  • A paid-up life insurance policy
  • A tax-free transfer from an IRA

Planned Gifts

Make a larger gift than you may have thought possible and receive significant tax benefits by making your commitment now for a gift that will benefit the AAO-HNS Foundation later by funding the Hal Foster, MD Endowment today. Opportunities include:

  • Bequests
  • Life income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts
  • Naming AAO-HNSF as the owner/beneficiary of a life insurance policy
