Editor in Chief Position

The journal is seeking applications for the position of Editor in Chief. The elect position would be October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2014. The actual term of four years would begin October 1, 2014, with the possibility of renewal for an additional four year term. 

The Editor in Chief must be experienced with peer review and comfortable with new publishing technologies. He or she will be responsible for the scientific content of the journal; selection of associate editors and editorial board members; enhancement of the journal's high standards for authoritative, innovative, top quality research; identification of emerging areas of importance and solicitation of content from these areas; oversight of peer review of all papers submitted to the journal; and annual editorial board meetings. Member Authentication Required to Access Journal Online and Mobile App Content

The January 2011 edition of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery marked the first issue of the AAO-HNSF journal on its new website. Members who have not accessed the journal online since January 2011 must authenticate their account with SAGE in order to access all online content, including the mobile app. 

When you click from the member page of the Academy website to the new journal website, you will be prompted to sign up to initiate your existing subscriber relationship. The process of signing up will only take a few minutes, and will establish a secure link for members between the journal and Academy websites.

Once you activate your member account, you will not have to do it again. When registering, please use your existing member ID number and password. If you change either your username or password, you will not be able to access content.

 

Detailed instructions to access the online journal

Step 1. Activate your account. Go to https://online.sagepub.com/cgi/activate/basic  and enter your Academy member number. Select American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, Inc. (AAO-HNSF) from the "Society" pull-down menu.

Step 2. Register as a user. Enter your Academy member number as your user name, and your academy password as your password. 

Step 3. Access content. You will now be logged in to both http://www.otojournal.org, and http://www.entnet.org, and logging in at one site in the future will automatically log you in to the other.
