Data is a critical component in today’s ever-changing healthcare environment. The Reg-ent registry harnesses the power of data to guide the best ENT care. Reg-ent, focused on quality improvement and patient outcomes, is an essential tool that will advance outcomes in the specialty. It will serve as the foundation for Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting, measures development, research, and contribute to members meeting Maintenance of Certification requirements.
Reg-ent received both Qualified Registry (QR) and Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) designations from CMS for 2017 and many members will in turn be using Reg-ent to report all required MIPS 2017 categories, including Quality Measures, Advancing Care Information (ACI), and Improvement Activities (IA). All Reg-ent participants will also benefit from research being conducted to demonstrate the quality, safety, and efficacy of otolaryngology care.
The Foundation recognizes that many of our members have paper-based practices or did not join Reg-ent by the MIPS 2017 reporting deadline (July 15, 2017). To support our members, Reg-ent offers the web entry tool for the Quality Performance reporting category for MIPS 2017. Visit the Reg-ent Web Entry Tool page to learn more and sign your contract with Reg-ent by December 31, 2017!
