2007 Monica Tadros, MD
Monica Tadros, MD, who has shown admirable dedication and altruism through volunteer service, is the recipient of the Holt Leadership Award which is given to the resident or fellow who best exemplifies the attributes of a young leader honesty, integrity, fairness, advocacy, and enthusiasm. Currently at the New York Presbyterian/ Columbia Medical Center, Dr. Tadros served earlier on the Governing Council as a member-at-large in the Section for Residents and Fellows (SRF), and contributed to Academy Committees such as Women in Otolaryngology, Instruction Course, and Bigon- Goals. She coordinated two miniseminars presented at the annual meetings in 2005 and 2006. A committed supporter of the Academy, she has diligently informed residents about ways to become involved in Academy committees, promoted the travel grants program for the annual meeting, and worked to expand international outreach as coordinator of the SRF Task Force on International Relations. Her work has been recognized with an Outstanding Leadership Award from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She has also published award-winning articles in several otolaryngology journals and contributed to a number of research projects and presentations. As a highly involved resident, Monica Tadros has shown that she is a worthy recipient of the Holt Leadership Award.
