Promote the creation of educational content that is in line with the Foundation's goals of diversity and inclusion, committees and groups that are developing content by:
- Including diverse members. This allows for the incorporation of diverse team perspectives regarding the content being created.
- Endeavoring to include patients from diverse backgrounds in clinical case scenarios.
- Identifying ways to develop content that addresses the avoidance of implicit or intentional bias.
- Reviewing content carefully for inadvertent bias with respect to cultures, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, gender identities, physical appearances, and socioeconomic status.
When new content is created by the respective Education Committee, the Chair will be responsible for reviewing the course before publication to ensure it meets these guidelines and expectations.
