In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, our specialty is being met with unprecedented challenge, but also incredible opportunity for change. Now more than ever our field is seeking to transform practice, and as trainees, we are in a unique position to facilitate this change. In my term, I look forward to representing our members in this way, to gather support for the SRF, while also empowering our members to incorporate leadership and advocacy into their practice. I am eager to join collaborative efforts with otolaryngologists throughout the country as we shape our field in a way to bring about meaningful change for our physicians, trainees, and ultimately our patients.
