Organizing information and communicating effectively is of particular interest to me. Prior to medical school, I completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration which included education in information systems, information distribution (including basic web design, social media, and marketing), communications, and team organization. I have been able to apply this training through multiple leadership positions in undergraduate and medical school student organizations as well as serve in leadership positions during my residency training including Program Representative to the Texas Association of Otolaryngology as well as Program Representative to the Section of Residents and Fellows for two years. This past year, I had the opportunity to serve as Information Officer for the SRF. I am applying to serve for an additional term as Information Officer with the goal to maintain information accurately and effectively utilize electronic communication tools in order to convey important and exciting updates from the SRF and Academy in an engaging, clear, and concise manner.
