Residents and fellows have always been a driving force for change in the Academy. My goal is to make sure you are in the driver’s seat. Dating back to 2015, I’ve served many roles within AAO-HNS, including on the BOG Legislative Affairs and Governance & Society Engagement Committees. These past two years on the SRF Governing Council have been some of the most rewarding. Last year, as your BOG Governor, we expanded resident/fellow appointments and rights, while ensuring critical information was disseminated among our section. There is still a great deal of work to be done, and I hope to accelerate communication through social media. Residents and fellows are uniquely positioned to mold otolaryngology into the specialty required by the times. As your BOG Governor, I will work tirelessly to engage members and champion your vision so that, together, we make a profound impact on our field.
