I am interested in sitting on the nominating committee for the YPS to help increase engagement in the academy amongst young physicians. Through the YPS I’ve made lifelong colleagues and friends. My goal as part of the nominating committee would be to help others experience these rich collegial relationships while also encouraging participation in the academy. One way I plan to help further engagement is to involve other young physicians in the creation of the YPS’s leadership podcast. I currently host the podcast but participating in podcasts is an easy way for young physicians to connect with leaders in our field and also will help introduce them to the work the YPS does within the academy.
