I am interested in the secretary position in the YPS to continue the great work that has been accomplished in the past by this great group. I hope to improve engagement and mentorship of our young physicians. During the pandemic period, all of us have experienced mental health stressors. I want to make sure that young physicians are being supported by their YPS through mentorship or support networks when they need someone to talk with. I want to provide organizational and leadership skills to the YPS in order to continue to build opportunities for young physicians to feel supported in their early careers so that they can succeed in their practices. Having served in a variety of roles in the SRF and YPS Executive Council, I believe that being familiar with how the YPS is run and ways we can improve will make me particularly suited for success. In addition to my current AAO-HNS section and committee service (YPS and PSQI groups), I also serve in coordinator roles at my home academic institution (University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center). In my service roles, I have had to organize numerous meetings and functions and I believe this will serve me well in serving you as the YPS secretary.
