One of BBF’s core activities for many decades, this program is centered around collecting medical equipment and supplies primarily from our hospital and other types of medical donor partners. We send these donations, often along with pharmaceuticals, to medical facilities around the globe. The scarcity of available resources makes these items especially useful to help treat patients in hospitals and clinics.In 2023, BBF sent the volume equivalent of 109 ocean-going container shipments to partners in 14 different countries. The pharmaceuticals and medical supplies supported local hospitals, clinics, HIV/AIDS facilities, homes for the elderly, and homes for orphaned and abandoned children.
BBF supported a total of 43 Med-Surg trips to 21 countries in 2023.
