Celebrate Match Day with the Academy

The Academy is looking forward to welcoming new OTO matches to the specialty on March 15. If you’re an incoming resident in otolaryngology, we’re inviting you to showcase yourself as a new face of the specialty!

We invite new OTO matches to share a Match Day photo or short video on social media by using the hashtag #IAMOTO and tagging @aaohns on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram. Special AAO-HNS and Match Day stickers are available on social media. Search “AAO-HNS” to use the stickers on your Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat Story. Don’t have a social media account? No problem! Send your photos or videos to [email protected].

Connect with the Specialty at #OTOMTG24

AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting Program Coordinator Daniel C. Chelius, Jr., MD, welcomes new matches to the OTO specialty and invites you to attend the AAO-HNSF 2024 Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO, which will be held September 28 – October 1, in Miami Beach, Florida. The Annual Meeting offers opportunities to connect with other residents and develop life-long mentors in the field. Learn more about the Annual Meeting at www.entannualmeeting.org.

The Academy offers several resources for OTO matches. We hope you’ll find these tools valuable and encourage the new matches in your program to take advantage of all that the Academy has to offer.

Learn from junior and senior residents and fellows-in-training about what to expect when you join the otolaryngology specialty. Discussion topics include: what to do (and not do) after you match, what to expect during your first year of residency, opportunities and resources available from AAO-HNS, how to connect with new colleagues, and more!

Designed for incoming residents, and students interested in otolaryngology, first and second year residents discuss their first-year experiences, address concerns and questions, and offer recommendations on how to prepare for the first year of residency.
