For Residency Training Program Chairs and Directors
How does the Otolaryngology Core Curriculum Leadership Team envision Residency Training Programs will use the curriculum?
The curriculum is designed for each program to be engaged in the same topic each week. Individual programs do have the option to reorder the curriculum to their schedules.
Schedule | Module Topics |
Weeks 1-5 | Basic/ Urgent/ Likely On-Call Topics |
Weeks 6-7 | Sleep Topics |
Weeks 7-12 | Inflammatory/ Infectious Topics |
Weeks 13-16 | Ear/ Otology Topics |
Weeks 17-20 | Airway Topics |
Weeks 22-24 | Facial Plastics Topics |
Each module includes a weekly course of study, case-based learning to springboard discussion at conference, and an assessment test each resident should complete to stay on track. The purpose of conference is to provide an interactive flipped classroom experience for residents, while faculty participate as experts. The platform also provides Residency Training Program Directors the ability to actively participate in residents’ learning, track their progress, and evaluate the need to help residents progress successfully throughout their training.
Where can I find the list of module topics?
