Resident Leadership Grants

Residents are the future of the specialty and their attendance at the Annual Meeting benefits the specialty as a whole. Applying for a Resident Leadership Grant (RLG) to attend the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience makes it easier than ever to travel, learn, and connect with the global ENT community. It also helps you position yourself as an emerging leader in the specialty.

Drawing more than 5,500 otolaryngologists, medical experts, and health professionals from around the world, experts from the specialty and the latest science converge at the Annual Meeting & OTO Experience. Attend groundbreaking sessions, grow your connections, and see innovative medical devices all in one place.

“I had the privilege of attending the Annual Meeting last year with the assistance of a Resident Leadership Grant. It was a fantastic experience. Aside from the content, I enjoyed networking with other otolaryngologists. The round-table discussion on pearls for interviewing and contract negotiation was invaluable!”

APPLICATION PROCESS

The AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience and the AAO-HNSF Leadership Forum & BOG Spring Meeting offer otolaryngologists and health professionals a series of dynamic education experiences designed to broaden and enrich your understanding of otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, and to provide a foundation for continued learning. The Annual Meeting program format includes scientific and research sessions, instruction courses, mini-courses, and posters that will help participants maintain a continued awareness of accepted methods of diagnosis and treatment to provide updates on new developments in the field.

All applicants must be a current resident or fellow-in-training member of the AAO-HNS and attending a residency program and/or fellowship based in the U.S. or Canada. Recipients will receive $500 to help defray the costs associated with attending the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience.

Grant stipulations require all awardees to attend the designated meeting and must attend the Section for Residents and Fellows-in-Training General Assembly in its entirety.
