I am passionate about retaining and promoting women in our specialty. As a mother of young children and our program’s Residency Director, I have experienced and seen many scenarios where we have the power to effect change. I believe it is important to provide content for members to see these opportunities for growth and development. Empowering others with ideas and information will allow us to progress our field.
I am efficient and organized. I enjoy acting as a liaison between groups. I am confident that I will be a positive and reliable addition to the team.
Previous/Relevant Experience: I have attended WIO events at academy and am also active in the women in facial plastic surgery group in the AAFPRS. I am the program director for our residency program and have served as APD for many years. We have organized yearly women in otolaryngology events in our department and have worked with our GME office to improve policies for women in otolaryngology, especially as it relates to beast/chest-feeding and family planning.
