AAO-HNSF Seeks Coordinator for Member Engagement
The incoming Coordinator for Member Engagement would serve from October 11, 2025, for four years. This position works with the Board of Directors (BOD), staff, and members to provide strategic direction for member engagement activities and recommends enhancements, changes, and opportunities. The coordinator helps to evaluate committee/section needs, works closely with chairs to maximize effectiveness, provides input and support in addressing challenges, assists in creating programs to build a pipeline of future committee and section leaders.
Specific duties include ensuring a coordinated approach to members, member activity, and member engagement inclusive of domestic and international membership. This includes conducting an environmental scan as needed to assess internal and external factors that impact strategic decisions and directions of Academy and Foundation members and also with regard to members on committees; providing ongoing recommendations to the BOD of changes to committees; working in collaboration with Committee Chairs and Section Leaders to set volunteer expectations and standards; and more.
