As the Member-at-Large, my main priority would be to expand and help coordinate the work of the governing council. I want to broaden our initiatives to further maximize its value to our members. I would help foster that goal by effectively serving between specialty societies, the Board of Governors, and Academy members. I would like to expand on patient advocacy, medical education, policy, and humanitarian initiatives. Through my previous leadership roles and personal experience, I have learned that success is dependent upon being approachable, a great listener, and a strong team player. I am ready to handle the tasks of the governing council and to work alongside the chair to help achieve these goals.
