World Sinus Health Awareness Day

September 29, 2021

World Sinus Health Awareness Day Logo

World Sinus Health Awareness Day was created to give the millions of sinus suffers around the world access to patient focused, trusted information about their symptoms and conditions. This public education campaign, recognized on September 29, 2021, was founded by the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) in partnership with Intersect ENT, Inc.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we believe it is critical for patients to be able to recognize and understand the different types of nasal and sinus symptoms when it comes to COVID-19, the common cold or upper respiratory infection, allergies or allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis, and chronic or acute rhinosinusitis, commonly known as sinusitis.
